RESEARCH FACILITIES
The department offers facilities for research
in various fields of Applied Physics, including Nano/Microtechnology, Applications
of solid Nuclear Track Detectors, Instrumentation & sensors, conducting
polymers, Dielectrics and theoretical Physics. Instruments and systems include
Scanning Tunneling Microscope, Pentium III/IV Computers, Vacuum Coating Unit,
UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, X-ray diffraction unit, Fibre-optic kit, electrometers,
X-Y/t Recorders Potentiostat/Galvanostat, CCTV, storage oscilloscopes, DMM,
High voltage D.C. Units, MHz Precision LCz meter, Research Microscope and
Precision LCZ meter Radiometer. Besides, a corona charging set up is available
for research in Electrophotography. The department is equipped with a small
mechanical workshop for routine fabrication work of instruments and components.
