UNDER-GRADUATE Courses
During the first six semesters, the following compulsory
courses are taught to B.Tech. Students of
all branches:
1)Communication Skills in English(1 semester)
2)Engineering Economics(1 semester)
3)Industrial Sociology(1 semester)
4)Business Management(1 semester)
ELECTIVES
In addition to the compulsory courses, the following
electives are offered to students of the seventh and eighth semesters:
1)Advanced communication skills in English
2)Development and planning in Indian economy
3)Small scale industrial Entrepreneurship
RESEARCH FACILITIES
The department offers facilities for Doctoral research
in the following areas:
1)Anglo-sexon and Medieval English(Pre-Chaucerian)
Poetry, Applied Linguistics
(English Language teaching, Translation studies)
2)Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics, Indian
Economy.
3)Human Resource management, Industrial relations.
LABORATORY FACILITIES
The department has a language laboratory to assist the students to improve their listening
comprehension and oral presentation skills in English. The laboratory is also expected to be of help
to senior under-graduate students in preparing for TOEFL and other
examinations.
